Bike Ride

It was a beautiful weekend here in Colorado. I had time to ride my bike. I got everything out of it I wanted: time out doors, time with my friend, fresh air, some cardio work, the rush of the wind through my hair and sunshine on my face. It lifted me up tremendously to enjoy God’s creation and beauty. I listened to the river and felt at peace.

Even though I didn’t have my kids with me this weekend, I knew that when they came back to me I would be more capable to adjust to the flurry of activities that they bring. As I write this, my oldest informed me that after school she had 3 activities which weren’t on the calendar! Phew. I took a deep breath and knew we could do it.

My bike ride was the chance for me to refuel and energize and put that as a deposit in my sanity bank. Yes! you can build up in that tranquility and draw upon it when it’s needed. How do you make deposits in your sanity bank? Is it doing something special for a friend and not taking credit? Eating a healthy meal? Drinking water? Praying? Think of at least one good thing that you can do TODAY to make a deposit and go out and do it!

Introduction

Hi, my name is Peggy Green and I've coined myself as the Come Back Coach because I've been there. Here is my very short, sweet and simple story:

I lost a child at 9 months 18 years ago, I had back surgery and overcame a very difficult recovery. I returned to college while raising 3 wonderful children and got a second bachelors degree. I came back from a divorce, selling and buying a house and graduating college within 6 months.

I am starting a new career and the best part is that this is the happiest I’ve been in a long time. I am back to who I was 25 years ago. I've made the come back MANY TIMES! I exercise, eat healthy, am succesful, believe in a higher power, and carry a positive attittude.

Through the years, I've had many people ask me how in the world I've done it. I have to honestly answer that I put my mind to surviving and looking at opportunities rather than the things that would drag me down. I've relied on friends and family and God.

(I don't want to offend anyone here but I believe in God. It is amazing what He can do. I'm not going to preach but if something comes up with my experiences that involves God, you bet I'm gonna mention it. You would want me to be open and honest, right? As an old saying goes, "take what you like and leave the rest")

Back to my point, I want to help you get back what you had before marriage, before kids, before divorce, before loss of a loved one, before financial burden, before surgery, before your current career or anything else that you need to come back from.

What does this look like to you? Does it include improved nutrition, starting to exercise, having a balanced life and increased energy, renewed relationships?

What ever "Coming Back" means to you, we can do it together.

May we follow this journey together! Welcome to my blog, Peggy the Come Back Coach.
